What is the Promise?

Hello Reader,

What is the Promise?

More than anything, and before our promises to, and agreements with our child(ren), our promise to ourselves in this journey to Earth is to become the possible of our humanity. It is in the choice embedded within each of us. Not only to experience life and explore Earth’s extraordinary beauty. Not only to listen to our hearts, and guidance, in the form of intuition, or knowing. The promise, our promise to ourselves is about how we walk life. Expressing our essence. Our true essence.

Only after we each take the first step, and then the second step inwards, shedding all that does not serve us, accepting ourselves with love, compassion and kindness, we also take, the first steps to becoming the parents, or significant adults the children in our lives asked to born to, or be guided by.

Often, collecting soul moments, moments of alignment between our truth and our thoughts, words, or actions (see more in Ch.8 in The Promise We Made), starts with noticing the unaligned moments in our lives. This is not an enjoyable stage, but it is a very important one. Without knowing what is not aligned and allowing it to show itself (and sadly often shout), we won’t know what change we are invited to make.

The beauty is, that even just noticing our unaligned moments already sends an energetic communication to our children saying, “I’m on the way… trying… making an effort… stay who you are…”

Since The Promise We Made was born, I’ve had the honor to speak about it and share my story on a number of inspiring radio shows, podcasts, and conversations.

One of the most inspiring conversations I had was with Marianne Pastane, who hosts Moments with Marianne on KMET1490AM and 98.1 FM. I invite those of you interested in hearing more about my Near-Death Experience to listen here. This is the only conversation where I had a chance to get into details of what happened in those sacred moments.

Another touching and significant conversation for me was with my friend and colleague Patrice Porter. We both share the experience of being motivated to heal, willing to put everything aside, transform and become, for our children. Listen here.

Someone you want to explore

I meet such extraordinary humans along my journey that I often wish to share more about them. While some of us offer related services, I also know, that we don’t all need to be working or following the same people…

Recently, I had the pleasure of joining Kristina and Herb Heagh-Avritt in a conversation on their small yet growing podcast, Bringing Education Home. Kristina and Herb's mission is to provide guidance and tools to families wishing to strengthen their family relationships through education and family development.

In our conversation, we discussed and applied my story and the teachings I share in The Promise We Made to our family’s choice (yes, together with our daughters) to take responsibility for our daughters' education at home. Listen here, or catch up on YouTube here.

While the focus of Bringing Education Home, is not spiritual, as in our community here, Kristina and Herb walk with a strong spiritual understanding and are deeply connected and guided in their mission. If you are interested in homeschooling/home education, I invite you to explore their free guide: Education at Home in 10 Simple Steps.

Blessings and Love,
